Met up with Marcus O’Mahony and Jim Behan in April at Gledfield Mill to fire the woodfired klin at Ardgay, Scotland. We did a longer firing over two days and reached a much higher temperature, cone 12 went down at top of kiln. We might have rather over fired the kiln! However we got some very good ash glaze effect with lots of nice melting and beautiful ash glaze droplets. We had great time and enjoyed meeting up with Marcus and Jim after such long time due to the pandemic.
