The weather for our autumn firing was set fair. This was our 15th firing of the kiln. As usually Nigel was up early and we had straight forward firing with good reduction. We had various visitors during the firing who helped with chopping wood which was quite a luxury. We made the decision to use a fire door early which worked well and we reached cone 10 in the early evening in time for supper. After two and half days of cooling we had a lovely sunny day for kiln opening. Over all we were happy with results of the firing which was just in time for the Highland Pottery Fair in Inverness which went well despite the stormy weather.
